I did the same thing for my muzzle spots and it has lasted 13 years with absolutely no issue!

I love this!! If there's one thing I've been learning a lot recently, it's that glues are fantastic tools when you use them for the right things

Absolutely!! I feel like people underestimate glues in general, they've definitely got their uses in fursuit making when they're used correctly

Thank you for this, I've been looking for a method for my personal fursuit!

I've heard some debate about this method but it seems perfectly viable to me! I think people get a little too hung up on doing things the 'right' way. You did great.

There was a big thing about it a few years back, but it's a perfectly durable and viable method when done right! In my experience it's the best one for tiny dots like this, because a sewing needle will absolutely shred the backing of the freckle fur at that size

Just makes sense to me. Im tempted to try it myself now! Thanks for sharing, as always! โก

God your attention to detail is always so crazy, and it looks so seamlessly apart of the fur after !!

This comes out so well! Glad you mentioned it was foam backed (was wondering about it feeling hard/sharp to the wearer). Also love the damp rag trick!

Thank you! Yeah, the main reason why I only use this method with foam-backed fur is longevity (I would worry about prolonged friction causing hot glue to start to fail) but that's a very good point too. If I need to use glue in exposed areas, I use permanent, washable fabric glue

Great idea for smol details! ๐ป

You are so smart ๐ญโค๏ธ

PLEASEE show the other method as well this is genuinely so helpful!! ๐ญ๐

I'm hoping I can make a video about it tomorrow!!

Serious question: wouldn't it be better to cut away a tiny spot of fur from the backing and glue the freckle to the bald spot than to cut the backing? It would have to be precise yes, but less risky to the backing and maybe useful for body patterns.

Worth it!

What are those teeny grabber cutty things you are using?
