Not sure exactly when it started—maybe even earlier—but here’s what I know: Jamie was a pageant girl, and so was I. And let me tell you, there are two very distinct types of pageant girls. There are the smart, ambitious ones who use their titles as stepping stones—earning scholarships, supporting causes, building resumes. Then there are the “thank goodness she’s pretty” types—girls who want the spotlight but skip the substance. Jamie definitely falls into that second group. She won a state title, but instead of fulfilling the responsibilities that come with it—hospital visits, parades, charity appearances, speaking engagements—she basically shrugged them off to go on Big Brother. She didn’t relinquish her crown, just ignored the duties that came with it. From what I understand, she and her husband co-founded the cosmetics line, but she was the face of it. QVC gave her that platform, and the visibility from that eventually led to the sale of the company to L’Oréal. As for when the delusions started? Hard to say—pretty sure they’ve always been there. 😂
