Here is the answer. They have the freedom to decide whether to wear it or not. You don’t. It’s mandatory for you, which means there is no real choice at all. And if you dare refuse, the consequences won’t just be harsh, they’ll be unimaginable.

The big difference is choice. When you choose great for you. When its forced on you not great. Simple. You understand that yet?

Nobody claims that dressing how you choose is oppressive. Its oppressive when you're not given a choice. We can see too much of your face only your eye's should be visible. You should receive 42 lashes for wearing that.

The way you dressed in this video isn't the way Muslims dressed. Don't avoid the truth. The way you dress isn't burka or hijab, you just cover your hair.

It's oppression when you do not have a choice. Many muslim women do not have a choice

If a woman chooses to dress like that, it's awesome. They show their respect for God. When gangs of men go around beating women who don't dress like that, it's textbook oppression.

If a Muslim woman wants to wear the head scarf then fine but in many Muslim countries the law demands that they wear it. If they don't they can be beaten so the difference is the beatings.

The verse in the Quran most often cited in discussions about this topic is Surah 4, Verse 34 (An-Nisa, 34). Interpretations of this verse vary widely among Muslim scholars, but traditional interpretations outline a hierarchical, three-step process for a husband to address a wife's serious "ill-conduct" or "disloyalty" (nushuz), with a form of physical reprimand as a final, highly conditioned, last resort. Surah An-Nisa (4:34) states that men are caretakers ( qawwamun) of women due to God-given strengths and financial responsibility. It describes righteous women as obedient and guarding, while outlining a three-step process for addressing marital defiance (nushuz): admonition, separating in beds, and striking (often interpreted as symbolic). Men are the caretakers of women, as men have been provisioned by Allah over women and tasked with supporting them financially. And righteous women are devoutly obedient and, when alone, protective of what Allah has entrusted them with.1 And if you sense ill-conduct from your women, advise them ˹first˺, ˹if they persist,˺ do not share their beds, ˹but if they still persist,˺ then discipline them ˹gently˺. Based on Islamic Hadith literature, narrations attribute statements to Prophet Muhammad regarding curses (or the anger of angels) on specific groups of women. Scholars often interpret these not as a blanket condemnation of all women, but as warnings against specific behaviors deemed immoral or harmful to the social fabric of early Islamic society. In Islamic theology and jurisprudence, the concept that men are "keepers" "protectors" or "maintainers" of women is rooted in a specific interpretation of the Quran (Surah An-Nisa 4:34). While often misunderstood, this role is traditionally defined as a responsibility for financial support and protection, rather than absolute ownership or superiority.

U misunderstood; the imposition of the hijab and the enslavement of women by patriarchal (Islamic) societies are contrary to advanced societies. If this were true, then why don't men wear the burqa & chador, and why do only women have to submit to this inequality and immoral law?

The dress you show, is the light version, stylized in a western 1950s manner, showing some hair. In islam, there’s also chador, niqab and burka. By the way: islam does not like depicting living creatures.

You forgot: Laws requiring a wife to obey her husband, obtain his permission to work, leave the house, attend school, go to a doctor. No laws against sexual harassment in the workplace, against domestic violence or spousal rape, but laws saying what jobs women may or may not do.

Stop gaslighting the public! Sharia “law” is enforced by violence. No one is forcing nuns to wear head coverings. ☪️ Islam is not ❌ a religion. It’s a political ideology using a death cult ☠️ to subjugate “the infidel”. Islam must be banned 🛑 in the United States 🇺🇸 !
