Two things can be true at once: 1. The Federal Dept of Ed, which was a gift from Jimmy Carter to the teachers unions that supported him, is a waste of time and money. 2. The local education system failed this student without any assistance from the Federal Dept. Of Ed.

I am sorry, but this is exactly why technology is also helping destroy our society. She used speech to text apps to get through school. How many other kids out there are using the same thing or using AI to do the work. DOE does have a huge part in this but other issues too.
