I hope she loses her license. Seriously. This behavior is a disgrace to the nursing profession. And she damn well knows better. Some of us have worked hard to uphold the standards of the nursing profession while these young and dumb kids come in thinking it’s all about looking cute in scrubs and making more $. She has no business as a nurse. This isn’t just about HIPAA it’s about doing the job well, correctly the first time, being present at the job, being available for patients and coworkers when they need you. You can’t do any of that if you’re glued to your phone making content. She made a med error right on camera and then tried to say it wasn’t the wrong med. A medicated transdermal patch is still a med, and if you administer it wrong, it’s an error. She would not have made that error if she was fully focused on her job and doing her checks. FYI there are “5 rights” when administering medications : right patient, right medication, right time, right dose, right route of administration. You are supposed to triple check all 5 of those “rights” prior to administering any med. you can all see here that that was not done. You can be a social media influencer or you can be a good nurse but IMHO it is impossible to do both. FWIW 22 years as an RN, 27 in healthcare. This is a huge no no.

With those fake nails which are unhygienic, because cleaning the natural nails under the fakes is very difficult. Plus, she's got one almost in her mouth. That woman should never be allowed to be in a medical setting. She hasn't learned anything.

Imagine your grandma gets a hip replacement, goes to a rehab facility to recover, then gets herpes encephalitis and paralyzed because a nurse with a cold sore licked her lidocaine patch before putting it on her. And it wasn't even time for her to have a patch.

Interesting. She's trying to say the right words because of course, but she still seems to think the issue is that she "went viral". Not that she did what she did.

It looks like after the investigation she's probably going to lose her job and her license even though she just got it. Way to go!

I thought she was being truly repentant but she seemed to be saying she was sorry to have been caught out. Her hygiene will at 1:38 of the first video, will likely be part of this investigation too. How can those fingernails be acceptable for a health care practitioner?

what you were doing was the issue, not that you let it be seen

The complete lack of insight is the most concerning thing here tbh.

I don’t want nurses to “create content.” I want them to do their jobs.

she is not safe to have taking care of anyone , just saying
