I should do this more often, it just takes being okay with it looking really bad right up front. Also giving up the idea of hoof plants in blocking.

John this is so cool man! Watching that boar come to life - fantastic! Always was a fan of you r work brother!

You're finally on X! - wooohoo - that's an INSTANT follow for me brother! - Can't wait for you to drop all of the wicked concept you've shown me at your place over the years working on Rainbow Six, Deus Ex, Tomb Raider, Splinter Cell etc.. I know how much you love doing sexy pin ups but don't forget to drop some of the classic stuff that everyone knows & loves ;) - To all, if you're into concept-art, give @El_Antiquado a follow and welcome him on X! - we've worked on so many cool projects over the years and I'm sure you'll enjoy his soon to be awesome feed! ;)

Hey thanks for the warm words man! Rock on!

Funny how brain dead people are when they see alpha leaks and see the top left alpha state and call the game unplayable over a year before its release. XD Good looking work flow <3

Cool! When you start animating the growl from the top-right box to the bottom-left, do you continue animating layered one control at a time, or do you pose the spine, chest, neck, head, etc on the same frames?

body = layered + a bit of straight ahead tail = layered + a bit of straight ahead legs = layered + a bit of straight ahead head = layered + A LOT of straight ahead once I reach a general performance that works well to my eyes (lower left clip) I go all-in using the straight ahead method. The process is identical to my Animating Idles videos using The Blocks which are here on my feed & YT channel. It's the only way I know of to get the max nuances that make a performance feel truly alive. It's impossible for me to use pose to pose this because my imagination can't process all these subtle nuances. What I am able to mentally visualize is the general motions/mechanics/weight but not the subtle nuances that I've added all over the place. I go with the flow of the shot and discover it along the way as I'm working / tweaking curves. unless someone knows a better way? Please share your method, would love to try it out.

bottom right 🤍

i spend so much time in the top right lol and im still striving to achieve bottom right on these deadlines astounding work!

@adamsaurus02 Holy crap! Lvl 40 Entelodon!

Lovely, I'v always believed layered animation approaches yields the most natural kind of results. Beautiful and unspiring work!

This is the way. - The Mandalorian

haha, this kind of breakdown feels oddly validating as it ended up being the method I like most
