Art in 60 Sec. This sculpture stops people in their tracks and was made in 2022! Jago’s Ajax and Cassandra is a towering Carrara marble that flips an ancient myth on its head. Raw power and breathtaking detail. The marble is screaming! Watch till the end. You’ll feel it.

2022 ‼️ This was made in 2022! Veiled Christ by Albino Sirsi, carved from a single block of Carrara marble, entirely by hand with hammer and chisel. No machines. Six years of work. 📍 Church of the Sacred Heart of Suffrage, Rome. Art like this still exists 🔥

🇮🇹Robot-Carved Marble Masterpieces Rock the Art World In Italy’s marble hub of Carrara, robots are now carving lifelike statues in days instead of months. Robotor’s “1L” robot sculpts a Venus in just 4 days, sparking a big debate: innovation or loss of tradition? But artists fear: “We risk forgetting how to work with our hands.” Robotor’s co-founder: “Robots don’t steal jobs—they improve them." Art revolution or end of the hand-chisel era? The statue of the Dead Christ in the Church of the Sacred Heart of Suffrage in Rome, often confused with the veiled Christ of Naples, is a masterpiece that depicts Jesus lying covered by a fine marble shroud. The sculpture stands out for the realism of the body and the transparency of the veil worked in marble.

Big news! World Labs' Marble is officially compatible with NVIDIA Robotics' Isaac Sim. Instead of showcasing their highlight reel, our team at Lightwheel created a full environment from a 360 pano using Marble and showed you can train directly in sim. The only non-generated assets are the robot arms, coffee, and bowl. Everything else was generated with Marble. Not sure how to do this yourself? NVIDIA wrote a technical blog with full instructions. You will learn how to: 1. Export scenes from World Labs' Marble as Gaussian splats 2. Convert to USD using NVIDIA Omniverse NuRec 3. Import into NVIDIA Isaac Sim 4. Add a robot and run the simulation Read the guide ➡️ #WorldModels #Robotics

According to history, most of these sculptures have been created back in the 17th and 18th century up to 1750. Now you know I love a good deduction and looking further into the narrative I found that some of the artists which created these majestic statues were supposedly in their twenties, which instantly raises some red flags as that kind of mastery and craftsmanship can't be achieved at that early stage of life. Now what all these statues have in common is that they have been created out of one single block of marble but none knows actually how it was done. Marble stones are not uniform, they have veins, grooves and same pieces can have very different tones, There are many inaccessible areas where one must remove excess marble and smooth it out like a glass with crisp lines and edges. Some statues were created so well they even made some parts of the rock look transparent My question is how can a natural stone be so flawless? Would it even be possible to find a marble stone of that size without flaws? I am tempted to imagine that this was a part of ancient alchemy, flesh turned to stone, it could have been a means of preserving the deceased Give it a thought 🧐

In Venice, I stood in front of a marble tablet carved hundreds of years ago that laid out exactly how bread had to be made in this city. They put it in stone because whoever made it understood that if you did not hold the line on something as basic as bread, you would eventually end up with Wonder Bread. They were right. We did. Nabisco and General Mills are not going to love this idea. That is the whole point. We need to get back to marble bread recipes.

I'll focus primarily on Marble Zone. The level is made of mostly of basic jumps, simple blocky design, slow block pushing and waiting for it to bring you somewhere. It does nothing special with the movement and makes it barely different from a Mario game with ice physics.

We just launched a generative craft system inside Marble App. Kids can now create anything and turn it into a 3D object on their map. It's designed to be realistic, so kids have to use their brain to make things happen. It works like this: 1) You describe or sketch what you want to build 2) Marble creates a blueprint you can iterate on 3) You pick the resources and tools you think you need to make it (if you have them) 4) Marble crafts the object. If the build is successful and you can drop it on your map! Since you can create your own tools, there is no limit to what you can build with this system. So excited to see what kids make with it!

🚨 JUST IN: President Trump is now bringing up his real estate prowess in a message to Jerome Powell's RIDICULOUSLY expensive $2.5B+ Fed renovations. He said he built a much bigger hotel with "marble bathrooms" for $200 million. "I built a great hotel...and the great hotel that everybody knows well...it's a much bigger project than this, and I spent $200 million. It was taken down to the steel...I built it quickly, and for $200 million. A MUCH bigger job than this." "It's got marble bathrooms, the top fixtures, the best of everything, all brand new."

These floors stay naturally cool—no AC needed.🌿 Before tiles, before marble, India had Kerala’s 300-year-old Kaavi flooring. Made with lime, iron oxide, and water, polished with coconut oil for that mirror-like shine—this craft keeps homes ice-cool even in peak summers. It lasts 100 years, gets shinier with time, and uses zero chemicals. Yet, it’s fading away. Would you choose this over marble?
