You msy take a middle stump guard and your front foot should move little early towards the direction of the ball,your backlift is stable and another good aspect id you dont have a trigger .

Judging the length first is crucial. If you commit to getting on the front foot, go all the way and front elbow high. If you go back and across (to off stump) go back. Footwork is the basis of all batting. Great effort for your first attempt.
