The power of the food industry is killing us. The UK has one of the lowest breastfeeding rates in the world. Formula use increases obesity risk for mother and baby. Increasing breastfeeding rates must be part of the plan.

Childhood obesity and chronic disease are not a willpower problem. We have to take a look at root causes like what’s in our nation’s food supply. The 'F' in FDA stands for food. You can count on this FDA to take a hard look at food chemicals when scientists raise concerns about them.

Black obesity rates and heart disease rates aren’t about slurs from the past; they’re about what we eat and how little we move today. It’s not oppression and racism keeping us unhealthy. That’s a pathetic excuse. It’s diet, inactivity, the choices we make daily, and the people perpetually acting like we don’t need to take accountability for what we eat and how much we exercise.
