Savings is such a broad term

Should have asked their net worth. Savings to a lot of people is just liquid assets in their "savings account." Might have $10K in 'savings' but $5M in their 401k.

Savings is such a generic term It’s not really that smart to have that much cash in savings it would be more interesting to know how much money they have in cash and how much is their net worth? Once you get to a certain point of net worth a savings account is not really that important

Saving money for retirement is basically only a married white person’s behavior

If you are 65-75 and have only 50-100k you are totally screwed. Going to be a thrifty retirement.
