How much tips made after working a 12 hour shift at Texas Roadhouse. 💸

That is more than I made in Iraq on any given day being shot at and bombed.

That's sad, the government doesn't pay our service men and women enough. Y'all should have the same health benefits our congress/senate does for life as well.
@HoneybadgerNo1 @grok what are members of congress offered for health insurance? Is there a different health plan just for them? What is the total compensation for a service member in the military at the grade of E5. Include all benefits and compare to equivalent civilians

Members of Congress obtain health insurance through the DC Health Link (ACA marketplace), with the government contributing about 72% of premiums—similar to other federal employees, not a unique plan. Retirees may continue coverage if eligible under federal rules. For a military E5 (e.g., Sergeant with 4 years): Base pay ~$42,200/yr. Total comp (incl. housing ~$21k, food ~$5.5k, health, etc.) ~$65k-$80k, varying by location/dependents. Civilian equivalent (mid-level supervisor): ~$55k-$75k salary, but often fewer benefits like free health care.
@SaltyBitch_52 @HoneybadgerNo1 @grok as a percentage, how many service members actually experience combat operations?

@SaltyBitch_52 @HoneybadgerNo1 Estimates vary by era and definition. Per Pew Research (2019), 29% of U.S. veterans report combat experience, with 49% among post-9/11 vets. Other sources indicate 10-20% of deployed troops (about 60% of total) see direct combat, while ~40% never deploy to combat zones.

He's clearly a GOOD server. Not only do the tips prove it, his demeanor in general shows he's a hustler and grateful.

Servers who dont make a killing on tips suck at their job and should go do something else. They're always bitching about how they don't make enough and how everyone needs to tip more, but every single good server i ever knew was making at least $200 in cash every single shift

People tend to tip more at different types of restaurants in my experience

And he'll end up tipping out about $4 to the kitchen who actually made all the food that the customers were raving about.😆

@TruthJasonLee That was the weirdest 19 bucks Count out I’ve ever seen

Why do servers say Working a "double" is 12hrs? Does no one is the restaurant business work 8hrs shifts?

I did but some schedule them in shorter shifts, depends on the restaurant

Meanwhile cooks doing the real work get like a couple bucks over minimum wage/hour lmao

Waiters get tipped too much. Delivery drivers get tipped too little. Waiters don't have to maintain a vehicle. Waiters don't risk life and limb bringing you dinner. People will give waiters $20 tip and give the pizza or DoorDash guy $3 for gas lol.

Hey that’s me

Not 1 black table

People who don’t ask for a tip deserve it the most.

Yeah bro, but you had to deal with people. Id pay $500 to not deal with people

Pro tip is just work at a restaurant in a wealthy area. I’ve made 1k with just 4hrs on a weekend shift. Also pick a higher end restaurant. U do the same amount of work, (if not less) with a higher payout.

Why don't I believe this? Hardly anyone pays with cash these days...

Is this the amc trader guy from years ago?

$42/hr or $84k/yr. The real value is that’s probably 90% tax free. But probably 99% 😂 so that’s like making $105k in FL.

This is why I dont feel the need to tip 20% .. im an electrician, literally could die doing my job. Constantly get cuts and small injuries. I dont think someone carrying my food should make as much or more than I do.

$40+ per hr! I worked at a small airstrip Cafe and averaged $30+ per hr. I loved working there and having fun.

In Texas the minimum wage for waiters is $2.13hr. They get to keep all their tips. In CA, the tips are pooled and split at the end between staff including the manager who usually stiffs them. In Texas you get good service because they have an incentive

I remember my days waiting tables. It was nice having cash every night back in those days. .

Imagine how much more he'd make if he wore pigtails

This is why restaurant and bar workers don’t want higher hourly pay instead of tips. I waited and bartended for years. Was able to pay rent, bills, and put food on the table for my girlfriend and I as the sole income while she was in college. $25/hr or whatever wouldn’t cut it.

@LynneB8898 That's great!

He also got 12 hours of regular minimum wage. He made 700 bucks to wait tables in on day.

Glad he has to work so hard for his money now after he fucked over $AMC Apes. Don’t wish him any ill will, just glad he has to work so hard.

NOOOOOOOO TAKE THAT AWAY AND GIVE HIM A LIVING WAGE OF 17 DOLLARS AN HOUR!!!!

Unfortunately the IRS has entered the chat.

You need to tip out your busser, your bartender , and expo. And dish washer . Nice try

2500$ sales at roadhouse is crazy high sales... people have no idea how much work that is

That doesn't happen offen so dont just leave ya job to become a server

$40 per hour to be a groveling servant in today’s economy is sad.

Double shift, so it was 250 on that shift. I worked in an Casino for 5 years, some days were like this, some days you barely had enough to buy yourself some lunch. Then there are the really rare big days where you made a pile of cash but they were to rare to expect.

I can’t help but think how much of his facial hair went in their food lol

What about tip out?

dude thinks 12-11 is a double
