What is wrong with you people. That was an impressive little girl and a very proud father who cares about his daughter.

No matter the age if you do not know a barrel racer go meet one and get to know them. They are a different breed of people

Wonderful! My daughter started Barrel Racing at 9. Got her first horse at 7. Won many buckles including winning our couty fair in her division. There are special relationships between horse and rider. Especially children and horses. Her horses loved her, responded and trained w/her. This was beautiful to watch. 🇺🇸💕

I enjoy rodeo for multiple reasons, but watching the next generation go at it gives me hope for the world.

She's a great rider and has a great horse, and she's obviously been riding a long time. I was 8 years old when I got my first horse, 17 hands high, and it looks a lot like this horse. Mine was a cattle cutter, and could turn on a dime, which usually threw people off him. He did that to my grandpa and broke 3 of his ribs. Here's a pic of my horse and I galloping around our driveway as I stand on his back. We're on the right and I was around 9 here.

@mplauche The child is doing absolutely nothing. She’s strapped into the saddle and hanging onto reins that are far too long to actually be effective. That is simply an extremely well trained horse. And there’s nothing wrong with that. They’re building up her confidence for the future.

Little girls are great barrel riders. It looks impossible but I used to ride as a girl her age and loved it. All about horse and rider.

I know nothing about horses but the horse looked like it knew pretty much what to do, good or her tho.

That horse would have run the barrels without her.... there's no stopping a barrel horse in or out of the arena.

My cousins and I used to do barrel racing when we were very young to. We did pole bending as well. Such great memories. 🇺🇸🐎❤️🤠

First time I saw her barrel racing she was about 5 years old!

She rides like the wind, I’m guessing five years old.

Why are people commenting that this is an American girl? The announcer is speaking Portuguese, the signs in the background are all written in Portuguese, advertising sponsors with Portuguese names, but you all think this is an American barrel race and the girl is an American named so and so? What is wrong with you?
