one of the best performances on Jools Holland

How? Ask Isaac Hayes 😉

Massive Attack included, that era was basically 70's soul reimagined.

32 years, Crazy. But this was CD-area already, Nobody had this on LP then

One plays Portishead to do exactly that.

The entire album is a masterpiece.

This sounds like “Nothing Burns Like the Cold” by Snoh Aalegra.

Excellent album!!! I’ve been listening to it since it came out. Thanks to my oldest brother and his tasting music.

I always loved how they used piano crash chords to accentuate gunshots - similar to what Johnny Cash did on Gospel Road for the nailing of Christ to the cross. The womp chord is powerful.

My god what an album this still is 🔥

Isaac Hayes 🔥🔥🔥

@miitointerlude big day for you

puts me in a trance ✨

Music with a soul

When I hear some of tracks of artist you play…..I can’t breathe!🥰

OMG so true! My wife and I are out to dinner years ago in Tulsa Oklahoma. We stroll into a cool record shop we loved to visit and this was on the box it had just come out! We were blown away! Immediate purchase, and everyone we turned on to that album were like dayum!

@rj 🧡🧡🧡

This music does NOT age. It still slaps today like it did 32 years ago !!

Hacked an alarm clock to make this my alarm in the morning. Before phones could do it.

Very intense band.

@kkxxrrr En samplant Isaac Hayes ! 😆

my first kiss was to this song 😅 the dude had good taste ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

For she’s been a temptress too long :)

Always loved this album. Dark. Creepy. Hits on the sampling side a little. Very 90s.

That’s so peak. Need that on vinyl. Haven’t heard it in forever.

Wandering Stars 🤩

First and best. Still.

grâce à Isaac.
