The oil isnt for you tho. You can get mechanical homogenized oil at the store. I’m sure this is much better. @WithoutHistory I would prefer this cold pressed palm oil as well, for cooking. I make my own wine using this method, as a hobby. My point is that this production method will never give him a decent income.

@WithoutHistory What should he do but a palm factory? He is working within his means. Where there are small palm oil pressers like this there are already large manufacturers. If you make wine you should have a more empathetic view of scale vs cost.

I would really expect that after all these years of processing and extracting this stuff (the economy of entire African countries and empires relied on palm trees and they’re derivatives) that we would’ve evolved and found a less labor intensive way of doing this 🤦🏾‍♂️ This applies to a number of things, including processing cassava into garri. The same process my grandma used was the same I used when I was home and the same that’s in use today: why are things slow to metamorphose back home?

Machine will do it faster and effective thereby reducing waste. Industrialization is the way out.
