yea, i had one of these and they failed to clean it out 3 times until they put me into surgery and actually put me to sleep, they decided to leave it open. My parents had to clean it out every night with a q tip., it closed eventually.

And what happens when the pilonidal sinus is congenit? My doctor said this sinus grows since embrionary stage and it often constains strands of hair and sometimes pieces of finger nail as well. That reminded of the ovary theratoma, which also contains these same.
