All good citizen listeners on this thread, please note, what we just listened to is a fantasy story of rich people. You don’t need a PhD to know starting an airline company require you having a lot of certifications and Aviation regulations confirmed and certified.

is it this simple given that there are other expenses in owning and operating an airliner. reminds me of stories like bill gates and others who make it seem simple that they quit college, but glazed over the fact that they have wealthy or well-to-do parents do they had stable support systems that afforded them to be able to do what they did.

While appreciating the motivation here being served; it's pertinent to point out that Branson was already an experienced businessman. No rookie can wake up and pull that stunt. Branson had prior knowledge of the airline business.
