More over he manages not to answer questions properly in the London assembly. It’s worse than PM question time for vagueness. We need to redefine accountability because it’s seems just a big word for the most part!

Quite sinister @CharlotteCGill . Well done for following it through. It really needs some answers even though he NEVER gives any. Perhaps one for @Councillorsuzie to take on.

@WokeWaste Nice work Charlotte. It all makes sense now. It’s all about the psyops propaganda. @antmiddleton is the mayor London needs..I only pray that it happens sooner rather than later. 🙏🏻

If the @MayorofLondon chairs @TfL, which has ad contracts with @global (owner of @LBC), and he gets only soft interviews on LBC while critics are ejected from Global-hosted events, is that not a conflict of interest? Public office shouldn’t buy media protection.

Sadiq Khan’s posts are carefully worded to pander to his base, and he’s clearly not interested in hearing what the rest of the population thinks, so he’s switched replies off. Probably because honest feedback would wreck his carefully controlled image. He governs like an activist, not a leader. Many Labour MPs are doing the same, switching off replies or outright blocking anyone who challenges their ideology. Britain deserves better. #LanaBelliver They shouldn’t be allowed to turn off comments because elected officials work for the public. They are accountable to all of us, not just to their supporters. Silencing feedback shuts down open debate and creates an echo chamber, which is the opposite of what democracy should stand for. If politicians can’t face criticism, they shouldn’t be in positions of power. Britain deserves leaders who listen, not ones who hide. The X account for the Mayor of London is paid for by the Greater London Authority’s budget, sourced from council tax, government grants, and other revenues. The "star" (verification badge) is a free feature from X, reflecting the account’s official status. This setup ensures the account serves as a public platform. Here's an idea 💡 Petition to Protect Free Speech and Public Accountability Online To: The House of Commons and the UK Government We, the undersigned, believe that elected officials have a duty to remain accessible and accountable to the public. In the modern age, social media is a primary way for politicians to communicate policies and engage with constituents. However, many elected representatives, including the Mayor of London and certain Members of Parliament, have chosen to disable comments or block critical voices on these platforms. This practice restricts open debate, silences dissent, and undermines democratic accountability. We therefore call on Parliament to introduce legislation requiring that: Any social media accounts used by elected officials for official communication must allow comments and replies from the public. Blocking or limiting engagement from constituents on these accounts be prohibited, except in cases of genuine abuse or threats as defined by law. Social media communication is treated as an extension of public duty, similar to surgeries or public meetings. Britain deserves leaders who listen, not those who hide. We urge the government to act now to protect free speech, transparency, and accountability in our democracy.
