The network has been hard to break for years. The weak spot I think about is people: an older holder whose family has no idea where the keys are or how to get to them. Real security includes a plan someone you trust can actually follow.

La red opera de forma continua desde enero de 2009, casi 18 años. Los incidentes relevantes casi nunca han estado en el protocolo, sino en exchanges, puentes y custodios. Por eso, para una empresa, la seguridad empieza por la custodia.

Most of the Bitcoin losses you hear about come from hacked exchanges, scams, and lost backups, not from the network itself. For a beginner, "secure" mostly means protecting your own keys and seed phrase.

Secure enough that nation-states keep stacking it. The math doesn’t care about headlines! 💪

The protocol has held up remarkably well. Most hacks you hear about happen around Bitcoin, at exchanges and wallets, not to the base layer itself.

secure enough that governments keep trying to invent paperwork around it.

It’s just not true though,… As you know: just knowing the “secret number” isn’t enough — if you have a passphrase — acts as the proactive secondary layer security measure against this. Leaving that reality out effectively ruins the video. IMHO $BTC 🚧 #Bitcoin Network

The security question is really an economic one. Difficulty just jumped 16.4% while hashprice fell 8.7%, so miners are adding hash power even as revenue per unit drops. The network is getting more expensive to attack at a time when mining is less profitable. The long-term question is what pays for that security as the subsidy keeps halving, because fees will have to carry more of it.

Is it really THAT difficult to guess 12 words? Do the twelve words have to be in a particular order?
