How should stores handle the shoplifting movement that is going crazy? I like this solution.

If you are caught,shoplifting especially, comitting any crime and have a conviction, you should not be eligible for benefits such as SNAP or welfare. The majority of Americans of all races are law abiding and hard working. People such as this do not deserve a hand up.

Every establishment should be treated like a Costco or Sam's club. Need a membership and a card to enter in one door and show receipt to exit the other door. The saving in theft will pay for the employees at each door.

When I was 12 I was caught shoplifting. I didn’t run. I didn’t lie. I was respectful to the store clerk who caught me and the officer who was called and spoke to me—because I knew that I was wrong and was accountable for my own actions, good or bad—-at 12 years old. What’s their excuse?
