I AGREE WITH WHAT ESTEEMED PASTOR DAVID IBIYEOMIE SAID ABOUT PASTOR CHRIS ✅️ Pastor Chris has been able to replicate his grace through us and caused us to be like him. Apart from Paul in the Bible, Pastor Chris is the only man of God that I've ever heard say, "Follow Me, as I follow Christ." Do you know what that means? That is huge!!!, Apostle Paul said, "...I wish that all me will be like me", that means these men have gotten a testimony from God, just like Enoch, that they have pleased God. This means that if you can be like Pastor Chris, God will be pleased with you. As a teenager, growing up in Deeper Life, under Pastor Kumuyi’s firm doctrine, I never believed this day would come - a day when another Pastor from a different church would stand on a pulpit reserved for Pastor Kumuyi and preach to the Deeper Life congregation. In our early days in Deeper Life, we believed that the mere thought of it was abominable. But then, here we are seeing it happen in full glare. Pastor Oyedepo broke the spell. Two years ago Chioma Jesus became the first Nigerian commercial gospel artist to perform at Deeper Life - an experience that sent shockwaves across the congregation, who were aware of Pastor Kumuyi’s ban on and stubborn rejection of such religious acts. What made Pastor Kumuyi backpedal in his initial religious convictions isn’t clear but I bet the advancement of social media has had an impact. The saying “If you can’t beat them, you join them,” is playing out. Pastor Kumuyi now appears ready to join and align his church with global advancement, responding to change over time. Clearly, he wants to untrap the church from the Stone Age, which he led into his unique, religious beliefs and earned allegiance from. We have a valuable lesson to learn from him. If you can’t change the tide, you join the ride.✍️
