How strong shark teeth actually are

now add the fact that their bit has force of 18,000 Newtons (or 4,000 psi). That's around 25 times as much as a human has (great white shark in this case).

I’m never swimming at the beach again

Now imagine that all over your leg in one chomp and rip 😳

Here are some wild shark facts: - Sharks have been around longer than trees – they’ve been swimming the oceans for about 450 million years, while trees only showed up around 390 million years ago. - A shark’s sense of smell is so ridiculous that some species can detect a single drop of blood in an Olympic-sized swimming pool. - The Greenland shark is basically immortal: the oldest one ever checked was estimated to be around 400 years old, making it the longest-living vertebrate on Earth. - Not all sharks are scary predators – the whale shark is a gentle giant that eats mostly plankton and lets divers hitch free rides on its back.

Note: Shark teeth are incredibly strong and razor-sharp. Made of dentin coated in enamel-like fluoroapatite, they’re harder than steel and can exert bite forces up to 4,000 psi (great whites). Serrated edges in many species (like tiger sharks) slice through flesh and bone like scissors, while pointed conical teeth in others pierce and grip prey. They continually replace lost teeth from rows behind, staying deadly sharp lifelong.

Shark teeth are covered in fluoride- a common mineral that occurs naturally and is released from rocks into the soil, water, and air. In a way, they kind of have their own built-in toothpaste!

I think this is more in reference to sharpness rather than strength

God dyumn! 😳

no way i'm going near this things

And that's not even half of their bite force😭😭

That explains shark bites.

When God created everything and said it was good, it really was good in every way!
