The Himalayas and Tibetan Plateau formed from the collision of the Indian and Eurasian Plates around 50 million years ago. This process continues today, with the Indian Plate pushing northward, causing the mountains to rise gradually each year.

The Himalayas formed about 40-50 million years ago when the Indian Plate collided with the Eurasian Plate. This collision caused the land to buckle and rise, creating the mountain range. The process continues today, making the Himalayas grow even higher.

Amazing! Also, I learned that Himalayan salt doesn’t come from the Himalayas 😆 It comes from Pakistan. If this is true, why? Great post by the way, I love your content

A monk in the Himalayas meditating in frozen temperatures. This type of meditation is called ‘Tapasya’ and is said to raise the temperature of the body’s core so you are unaffected by external forces of nature. Be honest - how much time do u think u will last here ?
