Wound Closure Strip is a compact medical device used to close small to medium cuts without the need for stitches.

Is it already used? That looks so promising replacement of the painful stitches.

How does it adhere to the skin when blood is spewing, say after a sword fight?

Scientists from Aalto University and the University of Bayreuth have created a groundbreaking hydrogel that replicates human skin’s strength, flexibility, and self-healing powers. Composed of clay nanosheets and polymer networks, it’s durable yet flexible, healing 90% of cuts in just 4 hours and fully recovering within 24 hours. This innovation could transform wound healing, artificial skin, robotics, and drug delivery, opening up exciting new possibilities for medicine and technology.

I’d still rather test it personally 😏💫

Why isn't this used everywhere?

My wife had knee replacement surgery 2 years ago. They used the zip ties to close her up. She had the operation done out of our area but did therapy near home. The therapists had never seen the zip ties before. The zips worked fantastically well.

Duct Tape Works much the same way

So what your telling me is i can zip tie my wound closed in an emergency with tin zip ties and gorilla glue? Cuz I can make that a packable in my camping gear toot sweet.

Here you get it👇

These are not to replace stitches. These are used as a quick fix until the required treatment can be accessed. They are used to minimise blood loss and reduce the risk of foreign bodies getting into the cut.

Wow 😮 this is amazing.. don't know by when the same will be in Indian Hospitals..

Nice! I should probably stock up on some of those in assorted sizes 🤗

Better make sure to THOROUGHLY CLEAN the wound first!

We had this for years. I used one after cracking my head right next to the eye not this one spacificaly but a simular one they are really good and if you clean them properly you can take them off clean the cut then the thing and put it back the adhesive is very good

This is cool. Can you buy over-the-counter?

Definitely AI, body cannot heal this fast

That's so cool I wanna cut myself just to try it out

Innovative wound closure technology like ZipStitch offers a suture-free solution, reducing healing time and infection risk while improving scar appearance.

Sterry strips have been around for a very long time as well. For serious cut, go to the hospital.

Wah jadinya begitu yaa

The technology is been around for many years, but you have to put sutures inside to avoid. Tension otherwise de scar will stretch , also we close the dermis with an internal suture to avoid railroad tracks Is good for GP’s. And ER doctors

Yeah, might work on small wounds, but the glue gotta to be so freaking strong
