An African woman can't understand why there are African artifacts (or any artifacts non-British) in a natural history museum outside of Africa. It doesn't make sense to her that everything in non-African natural history museums was either discarded as rubbish by locals, or otherwise used as trinkets to buy weapons from Europeans. Every 'artifact' she sees in the museum would have been permanently lost or destroyed if left to their own devices, period.
