Note: The M43 Cluster Bomb was a U.S. chemical weapon designed to deliver the incapacitating agent BZ. It weighed 750 pounds and held 57 M138 bomblets, each containing 6 ounces of BZ. Dropped from aircraft, it was meant for area denial, covering 0.27 to 2.17 acres. The bomblets would disperse upon impact, incapacitating targets with delayed effects. However, its use was limited due to production issues and effectiveness concerns, with all stocks destroyed by 1989.
