Our solar system has one star, eight planets, five officially recognized dwarf planets, at least 290 moons, more than 1.3 million asteroids, and about 3,900 comets. It is located in an outer spiral arm of the Milky Way galaxy called the Orion Arm, or Orion Spur. Our solar system orbits the center of the galaxy at about 515,000 mph (828,000 kph). It takes about 230 million years to complete one orbit around the galactic center. The Solar System is traveling at an average speed of 230 km/s (828,000 km/h) or 143 mi/s (514,000 mph) within its trajectory around the Galactic Center, a speed at which an object could circumnavigate the Earth's equator in 2 minutes and 54 seconds; that speed corresponds to approximately 1/1300 of the speed of light. The Solar System moves through the galaxy with about a 60° angle between the galactic plane and the planetary orbital plane. The Sun appears to move up-and-down and in-and-out with respect to the rest of the galaxy as it revolves around the Milky Way. Our solar system is the only one we know of that has a planet that supports life. So far, we only know of life on Earth, but we’re looking for life on other worlds. A map of Our Solar System :

How fast do humans walk? ~4.8 km/hour. How fast does Earth orbit Sun? ~107,000 km/hour. Solar System around Milky Way? ~700,000 km/hour. Galaxies expanding from each other? ~2.2 million km/hour (relative to the CBR).

The Sun should be oscillating a bit.

Then how come the starts don’t move at all if we’re doing all that 😂 can’t believe people believe this, most people aren’t critical thinkers. Smh

Great !! However keep in mind that the scale of the solar system is not that one at all, but the best way to represent it otherwise we wouldn’t see anything
