Even your CGI guy is uncomfortable stepping on these...

Me:

This is great if you’re the only one that lives in the house, what happens to the next person coming down after you?

if you need this you're probably too old/frail to go up stairs, just use this lol

God forbid two people go up, or down, in a row.

If you've already started to lift your foot, you've already done most of the work. Having the step follow your foot does very little at that point as you still have to independently raise your foot up to the next step. A ton of engineering for almost no payoff.

This is the kind of dumb shit people take to shark tank and ask for $50M investments

Me if one stair is 1 cm taller.

What if someone is following you upstairs? They're going to trip or have to strain to get to the higher step?

Energy-saving stairs? Wow. We are going to be these people before you know it.

"energy saving stairs"

Walking up these stairs inebriated has to be a nightmare

even the animated person can barely use them lmfao

What in the name of laziness is this?

Hopefully this is fake because this is extremely dumb.

Try to retrain your brain at this age lol.

Dumb ways to die !

That's a lawsuit waiting to happen after the first ten people fall down the stairs and break their necks.

this is so dumb. way to over complicate something as simple as walking

this is what i call saving energy

what happens when you have to run up or down those stairs to go shit?

This can only work if it’s just you living alone.

What if 2 people go down the stairs?

Me on my phone while watching this!

But no one thought about how this would work if you were heavily intoxicated. It's hard enough to climb the stairs after drinking 15 beers, and this design doesn't make it any easier.

We all need a flight of high maintenance stairs in our house.

if you interupt the flow of normal expected stair movement to the body you create a real hazard of tripping. expecially if you have trained the body to expect that kind of movement from other stairs.

Sorry, one person went upstairs already. You need to wait for them to come back down.

Really cool idea, honestly. Using the energy from walking down to help you on the way up is super clever. The only downside is it feels hard to make practical in the real world - moving parts, weird step heights, and timing issues if multiple people use it. But as an experiment and thought starter, it’s kind of brilliant.

Good f***ing lord what is the point

The “I hate children and pets” stairs.

Right, now try two people going in opposite directions.

So, these stairs will make you weaker. Got it.
