The hydrovent or SV pipe ventilates the space with ejector action. The water mist of the ventilation nozzle forms a suction flow in the ventilation opening and the fire gases escape through the ventilation opening. A prerequisite for smoke ventilation to work well is to get additional air into the space to be ventilated. The extinguishing nozzle's water mist cools down the fire gases in the fire space and protects the ventilation nozzle from the hot fire gases that flow out through the ventilation opening.

By spraying water vapor outside, the internal pressure is lowered. I think this is how the fire goes out due to oxygen deficiency.🤔

Sucked the Oxygen inside out? No oxygen no fire.

One function of Hydrovent which is ventilation works on the principle of Venturi effect. So ventilation is provided by the venturi suction effect created by the Nozzle that produces vacuum in the fire room. Dangerous smoke, gases and heat quickly fill the evacuated space and are drawn out.

The draft created by the water nozzle draws the heated air out of the structure, lowering the temperature inside. Fuel, Oxygen, Heat: remove one and the fire stops. Removing the heat stops the fire. This is why FFs will cut open a roof, it ventilates the structure reducing the heat inside. This makes it easier to operate inside, as well as knock the fire down with water. In this picture the FFs will still need to go inside and knock down the fire, but they can use a lot less water, and it will be safer since it will be cooler, and less smokey with more visibility.
