It is the stupidest change. If you ever drink choc milk or coffee for example, you shake the drink of course before opening, open it go to drink you get coffee / choc milk all down your front. You have to rip lid off.

It's awkward to drink with the lid loose. I always end up ripping it off.

I dont understand the hate towards the lid being attached, imagine the amount of plastic it adds up to being recycled instead of thrown around in 1 year. I dont drink from bottles though & when I do I buy the ones with a "special" top for easier acces.

Those caps are specifically designed so that if you 'want' to remove them, you can twist them off. Most dont though, because they like being able to remove the cap and drink with one hand.
