So we shove the caliper back in enough to mount the caliper with the new pads with a screw driver? Did we check the rotor to make sure it's true and in good condition? Or, is an adjustable wrench really a monkey wrench? Hopefully, no one actually tries this.

Sure you can call it a cylinder. But you would get laughed at in the automotive world. Here in America it’s a brake caliper. Next. Don’t buy cheap pads. Unless you want to die a horrific death in a car crash. And finally let the professionals do this kind of work. Too risky
