How to correctly end a Sea of Thieves session:

I used to do this with chartered ships but now that I own mine and have to pay to fix it I don't anymore lol.

Almost. You are supposed to have it sail off so you can wash it burn as it sails off into the horizon. Ideally towards a setting sun.

Almost how my solo sail sessions go, Instead of ‘We Shall Sail Together’ I play ‘Becalmed.’ 😌

Almost perfect, gotta play Becalmed specifically though. Unless it's a captained ship, in which case, the send off is to aim the cannons straight up, pull your mug out, shoot yourself out, and try to finish your grog before you hit the ground.
