i liked basement.studio's so much i wanted to see how much effort it would be to create a shadow overlay. this is a quick throwaway using drei/softShadows (which DLC uses, too) and drei/scrollcontrols.

.Stravant's plug-in lets you create repeated geometry in Roblox Studio by dragging handles, similar to how a 3D modeling array modifier works. Get Redupe here:

So... I guess it's a ReAl 3D MoDeL now. (Unfortunately, the pipeline now takes 2 clicks and ~5 minutes to create a 3D character.)

🚨 A single 3D website can cost clients $10,000+ to build. But you don’t need to be a 3D designer to create one anymore. No Blender ❌ No complicated 3D modeling ❌ No coding from scratch ❌ All you need is one Codex plugin to get started. I tested the workflow and this is what I created 👇 #AholoLux3D #Lux3D #GPT6 #Astra #3D Built with Manycore Tech’s AI Model

Create a 3D model from a single image, set of images or a text prompt in < 1 minute 😮‍💨 This new AI paper called CAT3D shows us that it’ll keep getting easier to produce 3D models from 2D images — whether it’s a sparser real world 3D scan (a few photos instead of hundreds) or your favorite 2D image generator like Midjourney (just an image). How does this magic work? “This architecture is similar to video diffusion models, but with camera pose embeddings for each image instead of time embeddings. The generated views are passed into a robust 3D reconstruction pipeline to create the 3D representation (Zip-NeRF or 3DGS)”
