How did you cut the wood Straight to make the jig......?

I think the jig structure is pretty clear, but while looking for something the same thickness as the blade, I realized the saw’s cardboard packaging was a perfect match. This is my first time making this type of saw guide, and it’s much more accurate than a magnetic guide 👍

I've got a method too. It's called skill & dexterity. Also, you cut TO a line, not through it. The final cut may be square, but its 2mm too short !

Or use a chop saw.

Big of a faff having to make one of those every time you want to cut some wood though?

If anyone needs this to cut a straight edge I’d suggest they stick to doom scrolling. Woodwork is not for them.

Just look on craigslist for someone selling a mitre saw. Ask to "test" it before you by it. Cut your piece of wood. So "Nah mate, i don't want it"

Fair play to you if that is actually you in the vid. Can't be too sure these days. I do think that just being careful and a wee bit of experience with a saw obtains the same result. Admire your commitment for accuracy tho 👍
