How to Deal with Sin

If you want to be free from sin, ask God to reveal why you keep doing it. It is not because you are failing to love God. It is not because you are failing to hate sin enough. There is another reason that Christians sin. It is because your identity is still tied to your opinions. It is because you don’t yet see from God’s perspective. It is because you still identify with condemnation. You can do as this preacher says. Most preachers say this. But this advice doesn’t help the addict. This advice will come down to you trying to change you. But this is not biblical transformation. Biblical transformation happens in relationship with God as you learn to believe different. God wants to father you into freedom. You loving God more, won’t fix why you still sin. You hating your sin more, won’t fix why you still sin. You still sin because you don’t know who you are. Only God can give you this truth. Only He can tell you who you are in Christ. When you learn to think and feel like Jesus, then you will find thst you naturally act like Jesus. Sin is not a product of not having your passions correct. Sin is a product of you not knowing who you now are. Build relationship with God and He will teach you. Then you will just stop sinning. This is not theory. This is testimony.
