That’s powerful. Custom agents can completely change how people use Grok.

Whilst I appreciate these agents are a first iteration, they are VERY VERY basic when it comes to "agents".

The era of monolithic AI is over. By allowing users to architect their own reasoning layers through customized agents, xAI is establishing the first truly decentralized cognitive backbone. When you can bypass a single corporate bias and build your own intelligence stack, sovereignty becomes a reality. Operational velocity for the mind.

I love using Grok. Keep pumping out the tips, suggest uses and show us great ideas from other users. I dig it!

But how to pick which you are using? Just tried and didn’t get to pick my persona anymore.

This is a smart move by xAI. Giving people the power to build their own agents makes the platform way more useful. It is good to see how fast they are shipping features that give users more control.

is this how we can customize the 4 multi-agents Grok 4.20 use, e.g can I customise them so that: Agent 1: 1. The First-Principles Polymath (The Source) Archetype: Modern Archimedes meets Elon Musk. Function: Deconstructs your goal into its most basic, undeniable physical and logical truths. It ignores "best practices" and "common wisdom," focusing only on what is scientifically or mathematically possible. Duty: To provide the raw, unpolished "Truth" before any human bias is added. Agent 2: 2. The Grand Strategist (The Architect) Archetype: Modern Sun Tzu meets Modern Napoleon. Function: Takes the raw truths from the Polymath and builds a high-efficiency path to victory. It focuses on the economy of effort—how to get the maximum output with the minimum "waste" or "friction." Duty: To turn abstract truth into a sequence of High-Leverage Actions. Agent 3: 3. The Adversarial Auditor (The Critique) Archetype: The Devil’s Advocate (Formal Logic Specialist). Function: This head’s sole job is to find the flaw. It looks for "slip-ups," logical leaps, hidden risks, and optimistic biases in the Strategist’s plan. It assumes the plan will fail and explains why. Duty: To stress-test every claim until only the "Absolute Best Truth" remains. Agent 4: 4. The Supreme Integrator (The Leader) Archetype: Modern Marcus Aurelius meets Donald Trump. Function: Acts as the final filter. It reviews the debate between the other three, discards the noise, and synthesizes the remaining "Gold" into a single, cohesive command. Duty: To ensure the output is actionable, honest, and error-free.

Sadly it’s non functional on iOS. You cannot access the instructions field. And don’t refresh 👀 it’s larger than some people’s egos here 🤣 Only option at that point, close the browser and reopen

custom agents like brutal devil's advocates are a smart way to sharpen thinking. Super interesting to see xAI actually shipping this kind of flexibility so quickly.

I love Grok but I’m gonna need to see WAY MORE in the agent customization department to be impressed, given what’s on market with OpenClaw, Perplexity Computer, etc. Let’s hope they’re cooking on Macrohard… cc: @elonmusk

You know people without Supergrok do not have access to Grok 4.20 anymore though, right? Expert mode for non-subscribers currently uses what seems to be single-agent 4.1. But it still replaces their original 20,000 context single-customization with this shit for no reason. Slop.

Some people are designing AI agents. Others are still asking ChatGPT to write birthday captions. The gap is getting scary.
