I grew up in the 1950s. I lived in a all White county. There was only Whites on tv other than a few bad guy Native Indians in tv westerns. No one thought or talked about race. People could go a year without Blacks or other races being thought of. It was not in the newspaper or media at all. There were zero racial problems. Then in the 60's race was everywhere in the medias and the race problems started.
