I took my door off, planed and sanded it, had to reprime and paint, all in all very messy. I wish I saw this before, how did I not think of this...

@DrunkDoingShit You're 20 years too late. I just sawed the door. This is a better idea if the old brass hinge would bend.

How long It last?

@ef0redeath Those are really bendable hinges. I think most are hard. I would think you would want to do the bottom hinge right after. I have my doubts. But it’s worth a shot.
