Treatment is solid, reasoning is not likely. Much more likely cervical nerve irritation referred to medial scap. Your treatment works b/c it’s movement, incr blood flow, and incr tissue tolerance, not motor control. If you think motor control, I’d be interested to see a ref why.

Basically tension band seems to resolve everything
