How to have a voice over booth for less than $100 💵
41 条评论

Big Booth doesn't want you to know you can buy a one person changing room online for like a hundred bucks and cover it in moving blankets and double thick curtains

Moving blankets are goated in closets preach

If I hear one more person talk about acoustic foam imma lose my mind

Edit: @duwei_Edits

POV: You’re a broke VA/VTuber and this video just saved your entire career (and your security deposit) Closet + blankets + pure desperation = professional booth. Big Booth really doesn’t want us knowing this.

Don’t tell the OPs on me

This such good advice thank you so much kamila Im definitely writing this down

This is so so helpful omg, thank you!

You’re welcome!!

@BrothBowl Taking notes off of this.

Alternativelu for 100 bucks you can get a few panels of OC 703 and wrap them in scrap (breatheable? Fabric. They're light enough to be hung up with command strips and will absorb sound down down to low midrange

emphasizing acoustics in this is understandable but most people don't have anywhere near the level of setup to even detect noise in a processed vocal, if anything most people in general need to buy a mic that fits their voice, and learn to use a compressor correctly

You’re doing it backwards. Treat first. Then mic hunt.

could not disagree more but methods are methods

Also don't forget bottoms of egg cartons also work as well

Shoot, when I was just getting started, the closet was my best friend. But MAN did it get hot fast

Is there a way to make one of these collapsible? I just ask in case I can’t make one of these in my room without drastically moving around my furniture.

So just cover my whole room with blankets

I actually have a moving blanket, it’s heat absorbent so I get extremely hot in there and end up sweating to death LOL 😂 but it’s worth it! >:D I usually sit in my wooden sauna box, with it turned off ofc 😅 and put the blanket over my head to reduce more of the sound ^-^

Bold of you to assume I even have $100

I dont have a corner in my room ._.

Do you live in a club penguin igloo?

yeah kind of...

ngl that's a solid idea 👌

I’ll use the closet tip for a small project of mine that requires custom voice lines for a character. The thing is, I still get embarrassed even when I’m alone, so I dunno how many tries it’ll take!

You're a life saver

This is so helpful Thank you

Also in a real big pinch. Under your blanket in your bed using your head as the canopy lol

The ruffling of the blanket material will be picked up. Not optimal.

damn, I can't do any of these.

I'm just staring at my un-used closet with so many ideas, time to pick up some moving blankets

If I already have a bunch of acoustic foam can I still use it?

DIOLCH, THANK YOU!!!

Good advice, can I ask what kind of entry level mic should I get with a closet setup?

:D yayy I actually have a big ass closet

Very helpful advice, thank you!
