Q for transistor, that makes sooo much sense 🤣🤣🤣

I’m pretty sure there must be an explanation for what Q = transistor just like Au is Gold and Ag is silver…😅

...They all make sense except Q. Why the hell isn't it "TR" or similar?!

This is "how to read", not how to identify electronic components just by looking at them.

Awesome, book marking this. I was just thinking about the two electrical engineering classes I took at UNI early today. wow.

I'm not an electrician but I said Wow this is so cool 😎 I love educational content! Btw long time ago ... the first PC was millions times slower than this... taking up a building the size of a small warehouse! A module of that PC took the first astronauts to the moon!

For IC also U is used as reference designator, and is much more common.

Electronics was my hobby 35 years ago. I learned much from it. The most useful projects I did were electronic ignition modules for cars, AV signal transmitter wirelessly transmitting audio-video signal from a vcr/vhs to a TV set, and 12 volts DC to 220 volts AC power inverter.

Some of these are not standard designators. Connector: J Relay: K IC: U Also I’ve never seen PC for an optocoupler - should be U.
