my Mac notch now tracks every AI usage limit I have. Claude Max, Codex Pro, Cursor, Grok, Kimi, Antigravity. Fable's weekly limit → alongside the usual 5h / 7d. Codex reset cards → how many left, when the next expires. no more surprise rate limits.

Codex CLI just got a major refresh, with a new look and powerful new capabilities. We’re continuing to invest in Codex CLI for developers who live in the command line. New full-screen interface, better readability, and ways to manage parallel work, all inside your terminal.

Pro-tip: use a token budget when using /goal in the Codex CLI This is an experimental feature we're exploring, you might have to enable the flag. Ask Codex to do it for you.

this is f**king insane i cancelled my $20/mo claude subscription for this. a dev found a way around OpenAI's usage limits and got unlimited GPT-5.6 Luna on Codex for FREE ($0)😳 He built a three step local workflow on a single machine. This involved no servers, shared accounts, or a team. Instead he used a GitHub repo, one prompt file, and a local coding agent. Traditional users pay full price or hit usage limits. His cost: basically $0. Here's the set up (3min): → Repo layer: Installed 'sol-advisor' from GitHub. → Prompt layer: Copied the 'savings-prompt' out of the repo. → Agent layer: Pointed codex at gpt 5.6 luna with the prompt loaded. → Activation: Loaded it into codex. Usage limits gone. usage after activation: normal codex access. unlimited. one trick. one window. use this before it gets patched.

Our open-weight reasoning models are out, and they're great! Run them on your desktop and try them in the Codex CLI: `codex --oss`

codex usage got f**king nerfed. so i'm switching from gpt-5.6 sol (max) to mimo-v2.6-pro on opencode... it matches the performance for 1/10th price and almost 2x speed [here is how to set it up in codex in 1 min] 1. model-router → model-picker → toggle the... 2. Cmd+Q Codex 3. ready to go

Codex halts all work once you hit your limit, causing you to lose valuable work. So I built Sundown, a plugin that monitors your Codex usage limits. When you're running low, your agent is told to wrap things up so you can pick up the work in a new session. Never lose a PR in progress.

One of the top pieces of feedback we get about OpenAI Codex: “make it faster”. We addressed it in a big way with our ultra fast Codex-Spark model (research preview for Pro). Available in the latest Codex app, CLI, and IDE extension. Here’s Spark vs 5.3-Codex-Low side-by-side (Credit Romain Huet for the initial idea).

Got my dog as a Codex pet, but more interestingly got Codex to add the rings to show my Codex limits. Outer ring is 5 hours, inner the weekly one

PSA: Codex and ChatGPT Work are getting another usage reset. OpenAI says rate limits will reset twice in the next 24 hours for the GPT-5.6 Sol launch. If you have big tasks waiting, now is the time. Go full throttle.

Rationing out your AI prompts like you’re in the show The Last of Us is a thing of the past. More tools need to get rid of the daily limits and implement open models that give users more usage.

CODEX SKILL THAT STOPS WASTING YOUR CODEX USAGE! I made a Codex skill that gives every task a clear budget before it starts. Choose Saver, Balanced, Full Power, or define your own limits. It reduces: → unnecessary repository scans → repeated commands and huge logs → speculative refactors → redundant web research → unnecessary subagents → endless retry loops It still runs the essential checks needed for a trustworthy result. If the budget isn’t enough, it creates a Markdown checkpoint you can open in Codex and resume later. It doesn’t increase your account limits. It helps you use them better. Install: npx --yes codex-budget-mode@latest 100% open source. Repo in bio.

Codex CLI 1.116.0 supports connecting the TUI to an app server. You can even connect multiple TUIs and the desktop app at the same time. Set [features]:tui_app_server = true to enable.
