How to know if your iPhone is original or refurbished,

Not completely accurate. Apple does not have a manufacturing facility in the United States for the iPhone. The information about the codes indicating whether a device is new or refurbished ('M' for new, 'N' for refurbished by Apple, 'P' for personalized, 'F' for refurbished by a third party) is reliable. However, the 'LL/A' at the end of the model number does not mean the iPhone was made in America; it only indicates that it was configured to be sold in the American market. The device is still likely made in China, where Apple’s primary assembly facilities are located.

Thanks for sharing.

This is completely FALSE … DONT SPREAD LIES … last 3 digits belong to the country it was sold … if the model number starts with M* its a brand new phone … if it starts with N* its refurbished

Thanks for your revert

My own is saying NG

Wow congratulations

His is written A. What a dumb man

lol

Here’s how to read model # MYEC3LL/A: • M — Sales type: • M = brand-new retail unit • (For reference: N = Apple replacement, F = Apple-refurbished, P = personalized/engraved • Y = Apple’s internal family/generation for that series (e.g., iPhone 16 line)

Totally wrong The model number is for what region the phone is sent to or made for

@TheOnlyArab It’s not about made in china sometimes, it’s about the configuration for these countries, sometimes they are restrictions on some features of other countries.

I sell gadgets, you’re not the one that will educate me sir

Mine is usa and its new😂

Congrats.

So what does that J/A mean?

Most stuff's made in China now—quality varies wildly. Buyer beware!

@rowdyamerican45 Hmm

I bought mine new

Congratulations

What about the model no ending as P/A

China New🕺🕺

Yours ?

@HOLARMEEDEY1 Congratulations 😊

My own is AS

Congratulations mate.

Apple has Companies in different countries so it doesn't matter where it was made

It’s not about made in china sometimes, it’s about the configuration for these countries, sometimes they are restrictions on some features of other countries.

He said the two letters after the slash, meanwhile there's just one letter there and it's neither all the letters he mentioned, I means what's A representing then

Oh !!

All this does not change the phone quality. Each country has its own specification: E.g. In China, your phone camera must sound before taking a picture. Taking people’s picture in public without their notice is illegal and you can’t off that camera sound in settings as well.

Exactly It’s not about made in china sometimes, it’s about the configuration for these countries, sometimes they are restrictions on some features of other countries.

I’m telling you. Most of these phones are coupled in china and sent to different countries putting in to consideration what the country ask for.

If iPhones made in China are junk, them virtually all iPhones are junks, especially the modern iPhones. Though iPhones are designed in the US, they're mostly made in China.

@ip_uchechukwu It’s not about made in china sometimes, it’s about the configuration for these countries, sometimes they are restrictions on some features of other countries.

What about samsung

😊

🧢

😊

Apple does not produce any phones in US tho

But different countries with different configurations.

😊

Best iPhone is from China. Not junk.

Hmm

Yo, shut f up. They manufacture all (fake or legit)

It’s not about made in china sometimes, it’s about the configuration for these countries, sometimes they are restrictions on some features of other countries.

No mind those guys, China is far ahead of any other nation on this planet when it comes to development

Nice info dropped

Thanks.

😂😂😂

lol

I am sure this guys phone has a J/A at the end of his model number for Jack/Ass as he knows Jack shit is an Asshole hence a Jack Ass

Are you sure ?

Lmao 🤣 you are given us hints but the phone you are using to demonstrate is not recognized at it in your given example.

lol you think so.

Last two were L/A?

USA

Thanks

Omo, this is so true. I get to know about this when I was doing my MS in Russia .. Omo I say make I go sell my iPhone 8 plus then. I shock say no one gree buy.. after going places one of the explain this to me.. I was shocked.. this happened 2016..

Oh really, you have learned a long ago. Some just got to learn now.

Useless video

Hmmm

The best one is made in China or india the one made in usa is junk

It’s not about made in china sometimes, it’s about the configuration for these countries, sometimes they are restrictions on some features of other countries.

Wrong! 90% of all phones are made in China. The letter has nothing to do with that.

Yes, but some countries have restrictions on their iPhone etc.

What about D/A?

@grok

@EmekaDuke1 D/A in an iPhone model number (e.g., xxxxD/A) indicates the device is intended for the German market. This is a regional code, not related to refurbished status—that's determined by the first letter (M for new, F for refurbished). Check Settings > General > About.
