Funny how it always comes back to the basics. The real 'better decisions' usually involve cutting through the noise and trusting your own gut when everyone else is shouting.

If you can't decide, the answer is no is way too simplistic. I think he's confusing "if it's not a fuck yes, it's a no". If you can't decide it's because you're lacking clarity and information. Improve both and the decision becomes clear in my experience. There are so many decisions I couldn't make out of fear initially. Eventually I broke through, but following this advice would have me succumbing to those fears.

I like the fact that someone else emphasizes the importance of ENVIRONMENT. I have a BioChemistry Major in College before moving to Computer Science. I've seen Human Stem Cells change to different cells based on the environment you put them in. If you put it next to a liver cell, it will turn into a liver cell. If you put it near a heart cell, it will turn into a heart cell. POWERFUL truth to how OUR cells transform based on our environment.

I get the logic here but sometimes “if you can’t decide, the answer is no” can lead to avoiding necessary risk.

If you can't decide, the answer is no - this can cut out much of the unnecessary wasted time and energy.

I’m convinced most people settle for what they can get, then pretend that’s what they want.

Where you live is a decision. But most treat it like a default.

It’s like a whole generation of Guru’s don’t understand most young people are doing everything they can just to pay rent and survive. The idea they can afford to try a whole bunch of things even if it is good advice is so out of touch it is absurd! All it does is make them sound wise even though it’s not wisdom it’s survival bias.

All of us should remember this.

Decision-making is less about making perfect choices and more about understanding the inevitable trade-offs.
