False conversions are birthed by the propagation of false gospels. A gospel that doesn't centre on the necessity of the finished work of Christ, cannot produce people who trust Christ for their salvation. They may come to the organized church, but they haven't come to Christ.

Sir, Paul was not teaching "microwave altar call" concepts in Romans 10. There's nothing wrong with an altar call, by the way; the point is that if the gospel is not properly taught by emphasising man's sins and Christ's death and resurrection to save us, many of those altar calls may not produce the conviction that true gospel preaching does. God's wisdom unto salvation is actually the preaching of the cross, but it is foolishness to false preachers because they always want to spice things up with human philosophy.

@RealDonaldDoo I like that you’re saying “…MAY not produce…” your stance in the video was rather definitive. Also, what you call “microwave altar call”, Peter referred to in 1Pet 2:2… Sir there’s room for growth! The remit for salvation is clear & then there’s room 4 growing in knowledge!

@RealDonaldDoo I could never try to teach you foundational class, far from that! I’m simply drawing your attention to your hardline stance on what/how a person can be convicted & come to salvation. My point to you sir, is that you cannot box the operation of the Holy Spirit.

I missed your "foundational class" typo; hence my deleted comment. Yes, we can't box the Holy Spirit; however, if we truly want people to be saved, we should preach the gospel of Christ as the scripture recommends. If we don't preach the gospel of Christ yet claim people are saved, we are likely to raise false converts. I think that's the point of the video, and if you disagree, I absolutely respect that as well.

@RealDonaldDoo Sir we absolutely agree on the fact that the legal & vital aspects of the gospel are absolute essential and must be preached/taught… Our point of slight divergence is on what a person needs to hear to be convicted, come to repentance & receive salvation.

Well seriously this is actually wrong , yes Jesus died for our sins but it is both figuratively and literally wrong to say we killed him. If your friend dies taking a bullet for you, they won't call you his killer. He died for our sake not that we killed him.

The example you used isn't a good one, sir. The point is that if we had no sin, Jesus wouldn't have died. God bruised and chastised Him because of my transgressions. It was my sin that killed Jesus but I'm grateful He still showed me mercy and paid for my crimes.

A better example would have been to say that I committed a crime that incurred the death sentence, and so my friend takes the bullet for me, And if that's the case, it is not out of place to feel responsible for the death of my friend, He wouldn't have died if I didn't commit the crime. Again, the idea is to show you the gravity of our sins. It's so grave that it cost God His blood.

Consuming the real gospel (the few ones we have left) is now becoming rare and a thing of LUXURY! One day we will still talk about pastors and ministers that use “controversial” hooks at the beginning of their messages for “Engagement” and Attention 💔😖

John 12: 32, colossians 1:28. MOG, I think whatever you can preach to draw people's attention to Jesus is fine. If you are preaching healing, breakthrough, deliverance, salvation, forgiveness, power or wisdom, even finances- Just let them see Jesus through it.

I think we should just preach what the Appstles preached to sinners which basically is Jesus as the only means of Salvation. Don't you think so sir?

You’re absolutely right. But sometimes, people need reason to be saved. saying, “Jesus died for your sins” may not cut it. They also need to know He is all powerful, can heal, save, deliever. It takes time to be a true convert. But at least the first step is to let them see Him.

I get the logic, but I trust the discretion of the Apostles to insist on emphasising sin and affirming it as the ultimate problem of mankind. I also don't believe anyone can be saved if they don't have a true picture of their sinfulness and their need for a Saviour.

Most times I wonder. You say a lot of things on the altar and end it with call gor surrender. What exactly surrendering to?

There is a difference between an altar call for people hearing about Jesus for the 1st time ever and people who have been in church for long but have never made a decision for christ. The latter dont need the gospel preached afresh to make a decision, they have been hearing it, they just need a prompt to step up. Thier conversion is legit.

I was in a meeting where the minister after preaching said, 'if you're affected by this message, come out'. That was supposed to be the altar call.
