if this video gets 10K likes we'll release the part we cut out of @ilanbigio waiting for deep research

We just added one-click remote MCP servers (GSuite, Slack, Github etc) to Rowboat - an open-source Cursor-style UI for OpenAI’s Agents SDK. Checkout:

Would be great to be able to use it not only in Deep Research mode 🤔

Why are MCP servers restricted to deep research use only?

now lets just connect remote mcp to general model tool call usage.

Wait -- this is cool -- but it looks like it wasn't able to retrieve any data? Is this because the data (cupcake orders) were not actually created for the demo? Or was there an underlying issue in the example? The way he talked about the response was as if it worked? ("And you can see "chocolate" is number one, that's my personal favorite.") I'm not trying to be obtuse, maybe I need more coffee, but just wondering...

this is quite cool... but mostly if you want to generate reports. Not so useful for quick answer to queries using data from custom MCP (or Temas, or transcriptions). Any plan to enable sources at least for reasoning models?

Possible to run RFT on this?

The demo shows it not working - the MCP didn’t find any results then gave a hypothetical answer 🤔
