@Bitkey It sounds like you are saying that if I lose my phone and bitkey I can recover my coins using nothing but a link that I shared over sms Doesn't that mean that anyone who sees that link go over sms can "recover" my coins? Or what stops my contact recovering my coins without me?

@Bitkey You can read about it in the documentation. It is extremely secure, and your recovery contact has no way to do anything, other than assist you.

Calling Bitkey “multisig” is technically true, but it misses the point of why multisig is valuable. 2-of-3: • Key 1: Bitkey hardware • Key 2: Bitkey app • Key 3: Bitkey server The keys may be cryptographically separate, but the security domains aren’t truly independent. Same vendor designs the hardware, firmware, app, recovery protocol and server infrastructure. That is vendor monoculture, not the kind of independent multisig I want protecting serious Bitcoin. Real multisig should reduce correlated failure: different vendors, different implementations, independently controlled keys. Three keys ≠ three independent trust domains.
