How to setup a Glock (I’ve got around 600k rounds through Glocks)

☠️ As a Glock competitor, I went through all the phases. Lemme get a Barsto barrel like Dave Sevigny. Lemme dremel these trigger parts. Lemme fuck with recoil spring weights… I want Glock reliability. I change the sights now, and even then acknowledge my aftermarket shit is more likely to fall off than the factory pressed ones.

That’s basically what I do except for the palm swell thing and the trigger. I like a Ghost connector to smooth out the trigger pull a little and just leave everything else factory.

Just for fun I looked up how long it takes to shoot 600k rounds. At 1000 a week: 11 yr 28 weeks 2000 a week: 5 yr 40 weeks 5000 a week: 2 yr 16 weeks. Average cost: $270,000+. Wild.

All roads come back to Glock, about to get a g19 here in a bit. Does the brass plate feel that different with vs without? Also do you run tape for carry or no tape? Stock barrel vs something like True Precision?

Brass plug balances the gun nicely but mostly it fills that space and makes reloads much easier

@wayofftheres And you can longer carry that gun. I carry a G19 daily. Box stock except for sites. Sloppy ass trigger and all. I found the wall, I shoot it well. When I compete I’ll bust out a 1911.

Mostly same setup here, with addition of tungsten guide rod and a polish job on the trigger component contact points. Like the tire weight idea, going to have to try that.

Thanks for the info. Typically just drop in a 3.5 lb connector and I've experienced zero issues from this. Heard so many stories of problems with after market Glock triggers.

After playing with one million aftermarket triggers I can attest to Tactical Trigger being the only one to check all of the boxes, (they don’t pay me or give me free stuff)

Have you ever had your lead levels tested? That's a fuckin crazy round count.

My highest was 26, but that was from doing a big breaching work up. Now I do everything I can to keep my lead levels down

Damn that's like 5x the normal range to be elevated. Maybe get a Mercury test too. Interesting tho. I always wonder about those range safety guys at indoor places man.
