For large surfaces it's not an option. For a 5 story building you'd need a 50K texture just to maintain a 32 px/cm texel density, which isn't even that high.

This is a great tip, thanks. But is that right that it will work only under Blender? If I use this created texture for my video game it will not work anymore. I mean for an object its fine, but not to use it as a general texture, correct ? Have a good day
