How to stand out as a VTuber! (From a full-time Vtuber and VTuber Manager) 1 - Plan your content Make a schedule, look into games, stats, what makes you perform best and what is challenging. Make sure you have a concrete plan for every day. 2 - Know your... model Spend time with your model and your rigger to make it move effectively and make sure your lip sync and movements are visible and match your style of speaking. 3 - Branding Make sure that what your theme is is reflected and visible in what you create, make sure it's easy to understand and pass on. Not everyone will have time to learn your full lore and tell it to their friends, but if you can sum up who you are in one sentence you make it easier for them. 4 - Have fun Everyone has a bad day, but there is no need to make your audience feel down. It's okay to skip a day or a challenge so you can provide a more welcoming environment for viewers. 5 - Work hard and reflect Nobody wants to admit they have been lazy or could have done more, but sometimes it's good to admit to yourself that you were expecting too high a number for the content you put out. It sucks, but looking into your weaknesses as well as strengths is the only way to do better in the future. 6 - Set clear boundaries Don't let chatters push to far and have clear, written rules that are enforced by mods and don't make exceptions. A healthy community reflects a healthy streamer and healthy environment and takes time and effort to build. 7 - Reinvent the wheel Not every idea has been done before, and it's always okay to look at trends and ask friends for help, BUT show people that you can stand out on your own, that your stream can provide what no other stream can. When I say “beans and rice, rice and beans,” I don’t actually mean only eat rice and beans. What it represents is so much more than a low grocery bill. It’s about short-term sacrifice for the long-term win. You can do anything for a few months, even a few years to set yourself up for a lifetime of success. You have to live on less than you make in order to pay off debt, in order to save and invest, in order to be generous. You can’t spend more than you make and end up anywhere except bankruptcy court. And people are doing it every day, everywhere. The stuff I talk about is not hard to understand. It’s very hard to actually go and do it. You’ve got to decide you’re going to DO it. Day in and day out, you’ve drawn a line in the sand, and you are NOT going back. No more excuses. You’re taking control of your actions and your life. You’re ready to make your money work for YOU, not the other way around. Are you ready to change your life?

May is mental health awareness month and from one women who struggles with some horrendous scars, trauma and demons in their own head to you. Fight like hell for yourself. Be kind to yourself and those around you who may be struggling too. Ask for help. It’s okay to have relapses in your fight for yourself. Your head is a dangerous place but I promise people love you. Bad days don’t mean your failing. Living is one of the hardest choices you can make sometimes and the worlds better with you in it 💜

VTubing is for everyone! I don't like to bring this up, but recent events in the VTuber community made some people really vile. I had my M&G at HolMat last week and had people come up and just yell at me for being a girl in the "womans world", that is VTubing, no idea about who I was, or why I was there. I had the same group return to my handler multiple times, I felt really worried about the person carrying me around having to deal with this repeatedly and tried to steer them away from the group. It seems they found my YT and left me a handful of the same comments, luckily all caught by moderation tools. While I will refrain from M&G's for a little until this calms down I want to say this; I have been managing for over 1.5 years now, I deliberately take on male VTubers to show them that they can still do it. I take on people that have babiniku accounts, those that are changing from one gender presentation to another and want help, and those that have no gender presentation in their avatar. A lot of male VTubers struggle to find a manager because the stereotype is that all male VTubers are evil and it perpetuates a stereotype that extends beyond entertainment industry subcultures like streaming. VTubing has always been a medium, while character and marketing matters, it's about what makes you happy, YOU are the person that makes the content. Use whatever you want as an avatar, use a voice changer if that's what you want to do. Every month I have a male client bring up they can't do it the same way, that it's easier if jiggle physics or a cute voice is the answer to fast growth. And I tell them yeah, I can also do ASMR, I can do drama content, collab with a larger person, and get to x amount of viewers. There are shortcuts in every entertainment profession and subculture. Does it last? Do quick fixes for anything ever last? Yes, great physics and an expensive model can get people in, but if your value, your way of interacting with people, your content plan and marketing is ass, you can pack up. Most of us start on a small budget, premade or resold models, and it's the same in the big league entertainment industry too. Can I take out a loan and put myself on a billboard tomorrow, can I pay the most expensive model artist and rigger and get in along corporate VTubers tomorrow? Sure. Will it last, will it be genuine, will people trust me? Hell no. Genuine communities and growth build trust. I think streaming, creative industries, entertainment, are full of people, regardless of gender, that will see success and call it "easy", because of what they see as the end product. They don't see most VTubers working a second job, they don't see the managers, they don't see 100+ hours a month going into content production, years invested in singing and voice lessons, model redebut after redebut. I think a lot of male VTubers get a bad rep, because so many boys are raised without putting emphasis on empathy and creativity, watching my brothers be told they should not pursue art, that theatre class is a waste of time, and that they needed to go study x or y to make money for their families in the future was heartbreaking. Nobody should have to look at others and feel so much hatred for society they turn against a whole group of people. If you want to pursue entertainment, please do. If you want to grow and try and make a name for yourself, you should start there, not with yelling about how you already failed. "Oh but I can't", "Oh but the odds are stacked against me", look at the big streamers, look at Ironmouse who overcame everything with hard work, look at Kiara who rose from the ashes, look at everyone that fights against their odds every day and give it your all. If you already think you lost, then you have nothing to lose. Don't give up on your dreams because others tell you to.

Will you get up for early AM lifts and not just drag yourself there but arrive happy and energized, eager to work and motivate your teammates? 2. Are you ready to miss family events—weddings, birthdays and be separated from your parents for longer than you ever have before? 3. Can you manage every aspect of your life for the first time by yourself, before you even throw in the rigors and demands of a sport? 4. Can you survive in an environment where you are defined by your sport and have very little social life existence outside of athletic and academic obligations? 5. Can you handle the mental challenge of going from the super star to possibly bottom of the roster, sitting on the bench, and/or not traveling with the team? 6. Will you be genuinely happy for your roommate who is getting all the playing time and attention while you’re getting none? If all answers are a resounding YES than you are built for this, but it’s not for everyone. And actually not for most. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. this is the worst local ai will ever be. it only gets better from here. if you are not expanding your mind with these small models you are missing what's happening right now 99 percent tool call success rate. when steered well with the right skills and a framework like hermes agent the node becomes a cognition layer. not a chatbot. not a toy. an extension of how you think. i was cranking this node at 35 to 50 tok/s all day on personal experiments and now after all the work is done qwen 3.5 9B is iterating on its own code. the game it created. fixing its own bugs autonomously. and the part you should probably not miss is that all of this is happening on a RTX 3060. not an H100. not an A100. the card most of you have sitting in a drawer right now. if you just open that drawer and put that intelligence to work every tensor core on that card should be running for you. your work. your experiments. your thinking. you all have it but because nobody told you what this hardware can actually do in 2026 you never tried. the day it unlocks is the day you test your workload, understand the tradeoffs, debug the loops, and then decide if you need to scale the hardware. there is no point buying 3 mac studios when things done well you can squeeze a similar level of intelligence from 9B compared to 70B. but only when you create the right environment for your model through the right harness. and let me tell you i have tried claude code as a local harness. i have tried opencode. i have tried various others. somehow i landed on hermes agent and never left. there is something magical going on at Nous Research. the tool call parsers, the skills system, the way it handles small models natively. nothing else comes close for local inference. own your cognition. your AI. your agent. your prompts. your experiments. why give them away for free. those are who you are and they don't belong on someone else's servers being monitored. just give it a shot with your existing hardware. you run into a problem the community will help you. and if you are migrating from openclaw to hermes i will personally help you make the switch.
