In two separate videos, I observed the Tesla safety driver holding the door handle with their right hand, thumb positioned on the door-open button. Could this button serve as an emergency stop mechanism, or does it have another function?

Don’t be a dumbass like sladoc - wasting Tesla engineering time and blocking real customers who actually want/need to get on an Unsupervised FSD Robotaxi - by constantly changing your destination just to ride around in it for 2.5 hours straight. That’s exactly how you get kicked out, just like Tesla already did to this guy. This is not a joke.

Safety is the #1 priority in every Tesla design. Even when I take off my seatbelt during the Robotaxi ride, the car alarms me that it’s off and needs to be on AND Tesla support immediately calls in to let me know it needs to be on during the ride.
